Pimp your bath!

Aura Hampers add organic dried flowers and petals to some of our Infused Bath Salts for their added therapeutic benefits (and let's be honest, their beauty and scent). Salt baths relax the body and can speed up healing and reduce swelling by relaxing the muscles and encouraging circulation and with their added botanicals these baths are particularly helpful for speeding up healing and postpartum recovery, but are beneficial for anyone, at any time.

Botanical benefits:

Organic Rose Petals: The natural oils found in rose petals help to moisturise the skin. Rose petals also have antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, making them ideal for use with sensitive skin and healing. Aromatically, rose calms and soothes the mind.

Organic Lavender Flowers (Lavendula Angustifolia): The anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties of lavender make it a first-rate healer for cuts and minor skin inflammation and infection, it cools your skin and calms your mind. Lavender in the bath can soothe headaches, muscle strain, stress, tension and general aches and pains.

Organic Calendula Petals (Calendula officinalis)These golden flowers are renowned for their ability to reduce redness, itching and topical inflammation. Calendula helps to soothe and repair the skin and reduces injury recovery time. The flowers also have strong anti-bacterial properties, helping to fight off colds and infections.

Infused Bath Salts with added petals can be poured straight into the bath as is, or used inside a muslin cotton bag so that the petals are contained (like a tea bag for your bath!). Using the muslin bag is particularly helpful when healing open wounds in the postpartum period - or when a tired mama wants to drain the bath without having to collect and clean any leftover petals. For this reason, a 100% cotton bag has been included in the ‘Bloom’, ‘Restore’ and ‘Cherish’ hampers if you prefer not to have petals in the bathwater, simply add the salts with the botanicals to the bag and soak. This bag must be used in spa baths to prevent any loose petals from getting caught in the jets.
